Day 1: Arusha National Park

This morning 8:00am after breakfast you will be picked up Moshi by your professional safari guide and driver. From there you will be driven through to Arusha National Park. Often overlooked due to its small size, Arusha National Park is a beautiful escape from the bustling city only 30 kilometers Arusha town as well as the Moshi town 75kilometers.

Arusha National Park has the most beautiful and topographically varied parks in Tanzania. The diverse landscapes boast with enchanted jungle paths, open green fields, crystalline lakes and rushing rivers

The park’s three most significant features include;-

  • Mount Meru (Tanzania’s second highest peak at 4566m and is Africa’s fifth highest mountain. This active volcano is a beautiful sight to behold)
  • Momela Lakes, This collection of seven shallow lakes entices all sorts of wildlife to bask in the alkaline waters. You’ll see waterbucks, dik-diks, zebras, giraffes, and birds galore hanging out at the lakes
  • Wide Ngurdoto Crater, which was formed about fifteen million years ago.

In Arusha National Park we will enjoy an exciting morning game drive, lunch at picnic and afternoon game drive, visiting both the Momela Lakes and the Ngurdoto Crater.

An amazing wildlife which discovered within the park include African buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys and sometimes a rare leopard or hyena.

Birdlife here is prolific, with many species like the narina trogon and bar-tailed trogon which are not common in many other areas.

Return to the Hotel at the end of the day and get ready for tomorrow’s adventure.

Day 2: Arusha National Park – Lake Manyara

After breakfast you will be picked up from there you will be driven through west to the Great Rift Valley and the Lake Manyara National Park.

We will arrive in nearly time for lunch. After lunch we head into the Lake Manyara National Park

The Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located African wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment.

The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including:

  • One of Africa’s densely populated African elephants herds, Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions,
  • As well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake.
  • We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and do two exciting morning and afternoon game drives, in search of the tree-climbing lions. Other animals seen are zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and others

Drive to your lodge at the end of the day for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After breakfast you will be picked up from there you will be driven through west to the Great Rift Valley and the Lake Manyara National Park.

Day 1: Arusha National Park

Day 2: Arusha National Park – Tarangire National Park

The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of:-

  • The largest elephant herds in Africa.
  • Keep your eyes trained for hartebeests, gazelles and exotic birds like the bateleur and martial eagle
  • where open grasslands, acacia trees and the Tarangire River paint the wild landscape
  • We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and do two exciting morning and afternoon game drives, along the Tarangire River that is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the annual dry season.

Drive to your Hotel at the end of the day for dinner and overnight. 

Day 3: Tarangire National Park to Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After breakfast we descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a morning, half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most famous and interesting of Tanzania’s national parks because here you can find the greatest number of different animal species;-

  • Include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants.
  • Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is the dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard

By enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater, after which we travel back to Moshi or Arusha where we will end our African safari adventure.

Day 1: Moshi – Lake Manyara

After breakfast you will be picked up Moshi by our professional safari guide and driver, then explain a short briefing info about safari. From there you will be driven through west to the Great Rift Valley and the Lake Manyara National Park.

We will arrive in nearly time for lunch. After lunch we head into the Lake Manyara National Park

Day 2: Tarangire Park – Serengeti Plains

Early wake up, after breakfast you will be picked up from hotel and driven through towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.  In the evening you will be transferred to the hotel as per standard of your accommodation requested.

Day 3: Serengeti Plains

The best adventure that you will never regret in Serengeti national park is to be one of among few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at additional cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages. 

After breakfast game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings.

The visitor’s centre not far from the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites, is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive. This nicely designed centre, offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area.

The centre also has a shop where cold drinks and snacks can be purchased, as well as a picnic area and information trail up and around a nearby kopje. We will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the centre in the shade of the giant acacia trees. In the afternoon we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion and some formidably large cobras.

Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink water. Dinner and overnight in the Seronera area, as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested. 

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Moshi

On this day it is best to leave the hotel as early as possible so you can see the variety of animals that are only active during the morning hours; breakfast will be packed in lunchboxes specifically for this purpose. At 6:30 am you will set off for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and after about an hour you will already be inside the crater The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most famous and interesting of Tanzania’s national parks because here you can find the greatest number of different animal species;-

Dinner and overnight in the Seronera area, as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.

Day 4: Serengeti Plains – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast at the lodge do we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of the’Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution.  We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge/camp and spend the afternoon at leisure.  Dinner and overnight as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested on the crater rim, no accommodation available inside the crater. 

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast we descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a morning, half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most famous and interesting of Tanzania’s national parks because here you can find the greatest number of different animal species:-

  • Include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants.
  • Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is the dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard

After lunch we will start ascending from the crater and return back to Moshi.

Day 1: Moshi – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast you will be picked up Moshi by our professional safari guide and driver, then explain a short briefing info about safari. From there you will be driven through west to the Great Rift Valley and the Lake Manyara National Park. The Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located African wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including

  • One of Africa’s densely populated African elephants herds, Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions,
  • As well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake.
  • Other animals seen are zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and others

This is the time of enjoy our nice lunch inside the park. After enjoying lunch time, the safari will continue. In the evening you will be transferred to the hotel.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National park – Serengeti Plains

Early wake up, after breakfast you will be picked up from hotel and driven through towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.  In the evening you will be transferred to the hotel as per standard of your accommodation requested. 

Day 3: Serengeti Plains

The best adventure that you will never regret in Serengeti national park is to be one of among few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at additional cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages. After breakfast game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. The visitor’s centre not far from the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites, is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive. This nicely designed centre, offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. The centre also has a shop where cold drinks and snacks can be purchased, as well as a picnic area and information trail up and around a nearby kopje. We will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the centre in the shade of the giant acacia trees. In the afternoon we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink water. Dinner and overnight in the Seronera area, as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.

  • Include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants.
  • Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is the dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard

The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of:-

  • Keep your eyes trained for hartebeests, gazelles and exotic birds like the bateleur and martial eagle
  • where open grasslands, acacia trees and the Tarangire River paint the wild landscape
  • Along the Tarangire River that is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the annual dry season.

This is the time of enjoy our nice lunch inside the park. After enjoying lunch time, the safari will continue. In the evening you will be transferred to the hotel.

Day 7: Tarangire National Park – Arusha

Early morning game drive in the Tarangire National Park, followed by breakfast at your accommodation area. In the afternoon we will back to Moshi. You will be taken to your hotel, which ends our safari services.

Day 4: Serengeti Plains

Today if you were interested by Hot Air Balloon tour over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement) is the best day and time to start a day with. Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages. 

If not interested with hot balloon, you will work up early in morning for sunrise game drive. Then return at your accommodation area for breakfast and afterward we continue with game drive until lunch time.

In evening you will be transferred to hotel, where you will have dinner.

Day 5: Serengeti Plains

After breakfast you will start the safari by being transferred to the central part of the Serengeti (also called Seronera). Here your driver will try to find the animals you’re the most interested in. Closer to lunch time you will visit the Serengeti Visitor Centre, where you will be offered a lunchbox and provided with lots of interesting information not only about the animals’ populations, but also about the history of the National Park. Also, in this area you will be able to see hyraxes, which are the elephant’s closest relatives.

It is difficult to describe in detail all the animals of the Serengeti valley, for they number in the thousands: elephants, buffalo, ostriches, giraffes, jackals, hyenas, lions, antelopes, leopards and cheetahs just keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the nature around you.

By the evening you will be transferred to the northern part of the Serengeti and then to your hotel.

Day 5: Serengeti Plains

Rongai Route (6 Days)

Rongai Route (6 Days)

This route is perfect for those looking for an alternative to the Marangu route due to provides more shelter from the weather and high winds. Rongai route is best option during the rainy season due to its location, which receive little rain but it does usually have far lower traffic than the other routes. It is generally considered to be the easiest of the quality routes on the mountain. Rongai is the best route for people who are looking for a decent quality experience and are perhaps not absolutely confident about their fitness and the route is good for people with no much experience on mountain climbing. This route can be climbed for 6-days, although 7-days is recommended for better acclimatization.

Day 1: Nalemoru Gate (1990meters) to Simba Camp (2625meters)

Day one this morning, a guide and a mountain support crew will arrive at the hotel in order to meet you and hold a quick briefing, after briefing you will travel by vehicle to Kilimanjaro National Park’s northern entrance. After the quick formality of acquiring climbing permits and registering, the group will start trekking up to Simba Camp located at the edge of the moorland zone at (2,625 m). Your trek this day will be moderate and take you through coniferous forest up Kilimanjaro’s northern slope. Remember not to hurry and always keep a comfortable speed. By the time you reach the camp, our professional mountain crew will prepare everything necessary, put tents and cook dinner for you.

Day 2: Simba Camp (2625meters) to Kikelewa Camp (3630meters)

Day two Early in the morning after breakfast, the hike continues from Simba Camp to start trekking towards your second high altitude camp Kikilewa Camp (3,630 m) where you can see superb views of the Eastern ice fields on the crater rim of Kibo, the highest of the three volcanoes which form the mountain. We will leave the main trail and strike out across moorland on a smaller path towards the jagged peaks of Mawenzi, the second of Kilimanjaro’s volcanoes. This trekking is more physically demanding than the previous one. By our professional mountain crew will set up camp and cook dinner for you in the sheltered valley near Kikelewa caves at 3630m.

Day 3: Kikelewa Camp (3630meters) to Mawenzi Tarn Hut (4310meters)

Day three early wakeup, after breakfast we start of trekking to Mawenzi Tarn Camp. The route we have is short but steep ascent up grassy slopes which is rewarded by a superb view of the Kenyan plains to the north. When you reach the camp, you will have lunch and a two-hour rest, after which there will be an acclimatization hike towards Mawenzi Volcano with a 200 meter gain in altitude, followed by a hike back down to Mawenzi Tarn Camp, where you will have dinner in the evening.

Day 4: Mawenzi Tarn Hut (4310meters) to Kibo Hut (4700meters)

Day four is a long but gradual hike, we leave our campsite and cross the lunar desert of the ‘saddle’ between Mawenzi and Kibo After a couple hours trekking, reach this spectacular place, with the summit of Kilimanjaro in the background and our trail to the high camp stretched out before our eyes. Upon reaching our camp the remainder of the day will be spent resting in preparation of the final ascent after a very early night!

Day 5: Kibo Hut (4700meters) to Uhuru Peak (5895meters) to Horombo Hut (3700meters)

Day five is summit night (and day)! We start off at around midnight, and walk steeply upwards to the summit glaciers. We will be climbing scree for 4 to 5 hours but gain incredible height over a short distance. The views are spectacular. We should be on the crater rim at Stella Point (5739m) as the first rays of the sun hit us. Spectacular ice cliffs within the crater surround us and the views to jagged Mawenzi peak and beyond are breathtaking. Another hour’s walking takes us to the summit, Uhuru Peak (5895m). We begin our descent by returning to Stella Point and then descending on scree slope and track back to Barafu Camp for breakfast, before finally heading down to Mweka Camp for a long well-earned rest.

Day 6: Horombo Hut (3700meters) to Marangu Gate (1860meters)

The final day from Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate (1,870 meters) is a long one, nearly 20km. Soon, you will once again pass the tropical rainforest and after a total time of 6 hours trekking, you will be back at the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate (1860m). After saying goodbye to your mountain guides, a short transfer follows to take you back to your hotel in Moshi. Once there, you can take a warm and relaxing shower and celebrate your success in reaching the summit of the Kilimanjaro.

Day 7: Depart Tanzania

This day left for your next destination. A vehicle will take you back to the Hotel in Moshi, where it is definitely time for celebration. Depart for the airport or other destinations in Tanzania. If you have safari, then might be used to beginning your safari or fly to beaches in Zanzibar so as we can arrange many reasonably priced trips and safaris around Moshi and the Kilimanjaro region. If you fly back home our vehicle will be ready to take you to the airport at your time.

The climb cost includes:

  • Pick up at International Airport;
  • Transfer to the hotel Parkview inn or Kilimanjaro wonders hotel
  • Professional mountain crew. Each participant will be provided with a porter (who can carry up to 15 kg of personal baggage);
  • Fair wages for the mountain crew as approved by the Kilimanjaro National Park Authority (KINAPA), Kilimanjaro Association of Tour Operators (KIATO)
  • Kilimanjaro National Park permits.
  • Kilimanjaro National Park rescue fees
  • Camping/hut fees
  • 3 meals daily while on the mountain. The menu includes different soups, garnishes, several types of fish and meat, fresh fruit and vegetables; vegetarian options are available upon request
